MEMBER FOR HILLARYS — ELECTORATE MANAGEMENT
SYSTEM
647. Mr R.F. JOHNSON to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question. It
was Google Maps that was altered, not my website. Can I just say, Mr Speaker,
in view of what —
The
SPEAKER : Make sure that your supplementary is germane to your main
question.
Mr
R.F. JOHNSON : It will be, I promise you.
Can I just say as part of my
supplementary question, Andrew Cox admitted to the ABC reporter —
Several members interjected.
The
SPEAKER : That is a statement; just ask a question.
Mr
R.F. JOHNSON : I will give it to the media afterwards.
Several members interjected.
The
SPEAKER : Enough! That is enough!
Mr
R.F. JOHNSON : Premier, are these the sorts of dirty tricks and smear
campaigns that I can expect from you and the Liberal Party candidate?

Google Maps, I have been informed by one of my
computer-oriented members, is a public domain.
Several members interjected.
Mr C.J. BARNETT :
Once any connection or link to the Liberal website was discontinued, so Google
Maps was basically disconnected to him.
Mrs M.H. Roberts :
You don't know what you are talking about.
Mr C.J. BARNETT : I
do not. I do not know about Google Maps; I admit that.
Mr M. McGowan : You
don't know anything about it.
Mr C.J. BARNETT :
No, I do not.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Thank
you.
Mr C.J. BARNETT :
This is complete fantasy by the member for Hillarys.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Thank
you. That is enough!
Mr C.J. BARNETT :
It is farcical. This is complete farce. The member for Hillarys resigned. He
regards himself as an Independent; he is not. He is a disaffected Liberal
member of Parliament. He was never elected as an Independent. If a member gets
elected as an Independent, I think they can claim that right.
Mr F.M. Logan : He
is an Independent at the moment, though.
Mr C.J. BARNETT :
He is. I suggest he finds a 10-year-old in his electorate to give him a hand on
his website and sort it out.
