I refer to prisoner Ronald Patrick Wimbridge -
(1) Where is the prisoner currently incarcerated and how long has he been there?
(2) At what security rating is he classified?
(3) Has he ever escaped legal custody or been unaccounted for?
(4) Has he ever made threats against any person in any correspondence sent from prison?
(5) Is he being considered for parole?
(6) If so, what date is being contemplated for his release?
(7) Have the victims of his crime been advised as to the possibility of his release?

(1) Ronald Patrick Wimbridge is currently placed at Karnet Prison Farm. His placement was effected on 12 February 2002.
(2) Minimum Security rating.
(3) Ronald Patrick Wimbridge is recorded as having escaped from hospital on 5 July 1981 at 1900 hours. He was taken back into custody at 2300 hours the same day.
(4) Casuarina and Karnet Prison Mail Records do not show any correspondence containing threats being sent by Ronald Wimbridge.
(5) Not at this time, but he will be assessed and considered by the Parole Board on a date prior to his earliest eligibility date.
(6) He is eligible for release on or after 01 February 2003, at the determination of the Parole Board.
(7) A victim has requested the services of the Victim Offender Mediation Unit, who will advise the victim of Mr Wimbridge’s release.
