(1) The Department of Corrective Services (the Department) advises that the 2012-13 Budget for mental health services for prisoners is $4.293m.
(2) The Department advises that the budget for programs that target juveniles and their offending behaviour is $75.684m.
(3) The Department advises that prevention and diversion programs are viewed as the most effective, as demonstrated by the success of the Regional Youth Justice Services strategy.
