WESTERN AGRICULTURAL INDUSTRIES PTY LTD, MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
With regard to the memorandum of understanding signed between the State Government and Western Agricultural Industries Pty Ltd in 1988, I ask - (1) Given the community opposition to the WAI proposal in the West Kimberley and the potential failure of the proponent to meet agreed time lines, will the State Government now withdraw from the MOU? (2) If not, why not? Hon KEN TRAVERS

I thank the member for having as good a line in questions as Hon Giz Watson seemed to have a month or two earlier. (1) No. (2) Because this Government honours agreements entered into by the State of Western Australia.
