WESTPORT TASKFORCE —
PEER REVIEW
1510. Hon PETER COLLIER to
the Minister for Ports:
Thank you very much, Madam
President.
The PRESIDENT : You are so
polite!
Hon PETER COLLIER : I have
been very cooperative today, unlike the Leader of the House!
The PRESIDENT : You just
spoilt it!
Hon PETER COLLIER : Her last
response was, quite frankly, immature.
I refer to page 4 of the Westport
Taskforce's ''Project Update 16: October 2019''.
(1) What is the
total cost to date of peer reviewing the work?
(2) Will the
minister provide a breakdown of the payments made to each of the peer reviewers
as listed on page 4; and, if not, why not?

I thank the member for the
question.
(1) The peer
review panel plays a vital role in ensuring the veracity, robustness and
authenticity of Westport's process, technical work and outputs. The
peer reviewers engage directly with relevant members of the project to review
specific technical outputs as well as meeting as a group on a regular basis.
The total cost of the peer-reviewing work to
date is $160 770. The peer reviewers were chosen as leading experts in their fields
to provide professional advice and vouch for the quality and independence of
the project's work.
(2) The
breakdown of payments are as follows: John Langoulant, panel chair, $26 950;
Ian Le Provost, environmental, $21 930; Dennis Koegeboehn, ports, $17 116; Neil
Matthews, supply chain, $15 984; Greg Watkinson, commercial, $5 189; Warren
Mundy, economic development, $10 890; Alex Uloth, geospatial information, $13 365;
and Marie Mills, communications and engagement, $49 346.
