INDEPENDENT REVIEW OF WA ENVIRONMENTAL APPROVAL PROCESSES
AND PROCEDURES — RELEASE
11. Hon SOPHIA MOERMOND to the parliamentary
secretary representing the Minister for Environment:
I
refer to the Independent review of WA environmental approval processes and
procedures prepared by Dr Paul Vogel and David McFerran, which is aimed at
streamlining the environmental assessment and approval process of projects.
(1) Why have only
the recommendations of, and the government's response to, the review been
made public rather than the full review itself?
(2) Given the
significant consternation that the review has stirred up among environmental
groups and that several FOI requests have been submitted in relation to it,
does the government plan to make the full content of the review public?
(3) If yes to (2), when?
