I refer the Treasurer to the
Department of Treasury's better regulation unit and the regulatory
impact assessment program.
(1) How many
consultation regulatory impact statements have been completed and how many have
been published during this term of Parliament?
(2) How many decision regulatory impact statements
have been completed and how many have been published during this term of
Parliament?
(3) How many
Treasurer's exemptions from regulatory impact assessment requirements
have been applied for and how many have been granted during this term of

some notice of the question. The following answer has been provided to me by
the Treasurer.
(1) Since 1 April 2017, 18 consultation regulatory
impact statements have been formally completed. Publication of the
regulatory impact statements is the responsibility of respective agencies.
(2) Since 1 April
2017, 17 decision regulatory impact statements have been formally completed.
Publication of the regulatory impact statements is the responsibility of
respective agencies.
(3) Since 1 April
2017, seven Treasurer's exemptions have been applied for, and five of
those were granted an exemption from full regulatory impact assessment
requirements.
