This is a cost-of-living measure. It
will be welcomed by WA families. It will provide them with relief at that time
of their lives when they are getting knocked about by extra bills associated
with their kids' schooling. It will be available from the first day of
second term. We know that there are costs associated with sending kids to
school in any term.
The Leader of the Opposition should
stop being such a negative pessimist. This is a great policy; it is one that is
welcomed by everyone, and he should welcome it too.
