I refer to Tourism WA’s new $5.6 million brand and marketing campaign, and ask -
(1) How much will be paid to HOST for the brand positioning of the Extraordinary Taxi Ride as the first marketing campaign under the Experience Extraordinary brand?
(2) Why was the contract awarded to a Sydney-based creative agency rather than Western Australian Agency?
(3) How long is the contract for, and what is required of HOST under the terms of the contract?

(1)  In 2009/10 Host will be paid $132 000 for the brand positioning work in relation to the Extraordinary Taxi Ride campaign.
(2)  Host won a competitive national tender and was evaluated by the tender panel on a range of criteria, including creativity and value for money.
(3)  The term of the contract is for two years with three, one year extension options exercisable at Tourism Western Australia's discretion. Host is required to provide strategic marketing, creative and media services.
