(1) How many prisoners at each adult prison, juvenile detention centre and work camp in Western Australia are accommodated in alternative sleeping arrangements, with the data broken down by individual facility? (2) For each facility listed in (1), please specify: (a) The number of prisoners currently accommodated in each type of alternative sleeping arrangement (e.g. mattresses on the floor, non-standard beds, temporary overflow areas); and (b) the type of arrangement used? (3) For each of the past four calendar years (2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024), how many prisoners were recorded as sleeping in alternative sleeping arrangements, broken down by: (a) Facility; and (b) Type of arrangement used? (4) What is the Department's policy or guideline for determining when alternative sleeping arrangements are used in a facility? (5) Is there any prison in Western Australia where 4 or more prisoners are sleeping within a cell originally designed to house 1 inmate? (6) Has the Department received any complaints or incident reports relating to alternative sleeping arrangements in the past two years? (7) If yes to (6) how many and at which facilities?
