I thank the honourable member for
some notice of this question. At the outset, I apologise to members opposite
for the fact that there are only two ministers today. It is something that I do
not like occurring and, ideally, it will not happen again. As members will
remember, this was not originally a scheduled sitting week. Each of the
ministers has unavoidable appointments; they are on legitimate urgent
parliamentary business, but normally this would not occur. We have tried to
answer the questions as best we possibly can.
(1) Yes.
(2) Dependent on the successful project
company, services may be provided in-house from the company's
facilities management provider or services may be subcontracted. Subcontracting
could include any of the facilities management services, which include
maintenance, waste management, utilities management, lifecycle services for
replacement and preventive maintenance, general management services, helpdesk
services, caretaker services, grounds and gardens maintenance, pest control,
cleaning, security and a catering services option.
