a) The allocation and distribution of GROH dwellings across WA is guided by the workforce planning needs of individual agencies and their priorities.
The uplift of $103.6 million for the GROH program, as committed to in the 2025 State Election, more than doubles the size of the existing GROH construction program with over 100 new builds to be delivered across regional WA.
b) As of 30 June 2025, there are 634 GROH dwellings in the Midwest-Gascoyne region.
c) As at 30 June 2025, there are 14 GROH dwellings under refurbishment in the Midwest-Gascoyne region.
GROH properties are allocated to client agencies and may be held vacant for a range of legitimate operational reasons, such as rotating staff on fixed tenure arrangements; staff leave, including maternity leave; and active recruitment processes.
d) A property may be secured whilst necessary activities occur. Timeframes to complete works will vary for each property based on a number of factors, such as, on its condition, the scope of works required, contractor availability, and redevelopment potential.
