(b) the new development creating a potentially explosive methane gas trap?
(1) The Department of Environmental Protection has requested that the developers of the former Woolstores site, part of the South Beach development, to assess any impact that the infilling of the Woolstores site may have on any methane beneath the South Fremantle landfill, including the Fremantle Chalet Village. To-date, this work has not been reported to the Department and this is therefore not available for release. (2-3) Answered by (1). (4) There is a substantial amount of correspondence on the South Beach site, covering a broad range of issues. Specific requests for correspondence are best dealt with through an application under the Freedom of Information process.
