REGIONAL CABINET MEETING — MOORA — MINISTER
FOR AGRICULTURE AND FOOD
606. Mr M.P. MURRAY to the Minister for
Agriculture and Food:
I have a supplementary question. It
always worries me when people answer like that. It seems like there are more
blowies on him than on an outdoor toilet!
Several members interjected.
The
SPEAKER : Thank you!
Mr
M.P. MURRAY : What will the minister say to all those farmers, local
businesspeople and constituents who were expecting to meet with the Minister
for Transport; Minister for Agriculture and Food, yet, due to his own
ambitions, could not, and when will he meet with them?

I have had conversations with the
shire president of Moora, Ken Seymour, this week and I will be attending to
meet with any farmers as quickly as possible. I look forward to it. I have been
told there are six-foot canola crops up there at the moment and some they
reckon they can battle to walk into. As a boy from the bush, I love that
aspect. I really look forward to seeing these crops. There was a bit of
nervousness about frost the week before last. I will have updates at the end of
this week from the Department of Agriculture and Food to really know the extent
of those frosts. I look forward to meeting those farmers very soon.
