The Member is aware that extensive study is required to be undertaken on the Ellenbrook rail proposal as no work, including feasibility studies, were carried out by the previous Labor Government.
The
Department of Transport
advises:
(1) The Government will be shortly considering the Public Transport Network Plan, which has assessed the most appropriate mode for the major transit corridors.
(a) Further detailed planning will be needed before budget decisions are made on specific projects.
(2) This has not been assessed.
