What an amazing question! Yes, I will tell the Deputy Leader of the Opposition what we do. When we join cabinet, we undertake to keep matters that come before cabinet confidential, unless it is decided by cabinet to make those matters public. That is the nature of cabinet - Mr T. Buswell : All 18 members? Mr A.J. CARPENTER : My God! Somebody quickly round up the numbers man. Nobody with any serious intent would ask ridiculous questions like this. Mr M.W. Trenorden : You are ducking for cover. Mr A.J. CARPENTER : While the member for Vasse is in the spotlight, let me ask him a question. The member for Vasse had two meetings with Noel Crichton-Browne in the car park outside Parliament House. One meeting was on 21 or 22 March - the day before the member for Vasse was to give evidence to the Corruption and Crime Commission. They did not sit in the car and collude about what the member for Vasse was going to tell the CCC, did they? Several members interjected. Mr T. Buswell : Which meeting? Mr A.J. CARPENTER : Which meeting? Which day was it? Mr T. Buswell : Read the evidence! Mr A.J. CARPENTER : The member for Vasse had one meeting in the car park. That was the day that he mysteriously swung his vote away from the member for Kalgoorlie and to the man sitting next to him - the Leader of the Opposition. We now know that the Leader of the Opposition has not asked him what he was doing in the car with Noel Crichton-Browne, the man we now know does influence a bit of activity in the Liberal Party after all! I think the member for Vasse has more questions to answer than anyone in this place!
