TOWN OF KWINANA - COMMERCIAL VEHICLE PERMIT FEES
I ask the parliamentary secretary this question with considerable confidence, because I know she has the answer. The PRESIDENT : I think Hon Simon O’Brien has the answer! Hon SIMON O’BRIEN : I had it briefly, but, being a gentleman, I gave it back. I refer to the decision by the Town of Kwinana to impose permit fees for certain commercial vehicles using the town’s roads, and ask - (1) What was the annual amount provided by the state government to the Town of Kwinana for road maintenance in each of the past five years? (2) What proportion of these funds is allocated having specific regard to the impact of concessional load vehicle on local roads? (3) Does the government recognise that the Town of Kwinana has a comparatively heavy burden in road damage caused by heavy vehicles, deserves extra funding because of it? Hon ADELE FARINA
