Minister for Transport:
I refer to the Abernethy Road
stockpile of PFAS-contaminated spoil extracted from the Forrestfield–Airport
Link.
(1) As at 16 August
2023, what volume of spoil extracted from the FAL project was stockpiled at 777
Abernethy Road, Forrestfield?
(2) As at that date, what volume of stockpiled FAL
spoil had been utilised on the Great Eastern Highway project?
(3) Excluding the
spoil utilised on the Great Eastern Highway bypass, what infrastructure
projects across Perth have been beneficial recipients of the Abernethy Road
spoil since October 2022?
(4) What volumes
of Abernethy Road spoil have been utilised on each of those infrastructure
projects and in what manner?

I cannot even say I thank the

thank the Leader of the Opposition for some notice of the question. As this
question was received on 17 August, the answer is relevant as at that date.
(1) Approximately 450 000 cubic
metres.
(2) Approximately 150 000 cubic metres.
(3)–(4) No other
infrastructure projects have beneficially re-used the spoil during this time.
