I thank the Leader of the Opposition for his encouraging question. The government, along with all the non-government parties, indicated its support for a sessional order. The discussions towards the achievement of that order have been on my mind for some time. Hon Norman Moore : I know it has been some time—that is why I asked the question. Hon KIM CHANCE : Yes, and I appreciate the support that the Leader of the Opposition continues to show for the measure. I spoke half an hour ago to another non-government member of this house about the way in which we can progress towards the achievement of a sessional order. We all understand that there were issues around the way in which the sessional order worked in 2006 that caused the government some difficulty, and that is why we did not have a sessional order last year. That said, I welcome the spirit of cooperation that seems to be driving the push towards a sessional order this year. I remain enthusiastic, and I believe that the differences that have been expressed about the way in which the 2006 sessional order worked can be overcome to the benefit of every member of the house. To directly answer the question, I would like to see the firming of discussions around the sessional order occurring next week.
