(a) As discussed in Parliament on 23 February 2012, the future delivery of cardiothoracic services in Western Australia is currently under consideration.
(b) The South Metropolitan Area Health Service has extended the current surgeon's contract to 5 April 2012 to ensure the continuity of the cardiothoracic service at Fremantle Hospital.
