I refer to the 2012 – 13 Budget announcement that there would be “an analysis of existing royalty rates in Western Australia” which would include “a three year period of consultation with potentially affected industries to end before 1 July 2015”, and I ask:
(a) how many consultation meetings have taken place during the first nine months of this three year period of consultation, from 1 July 2012 until 31 March 2013? Who has attended these consultation meetings;
(b) how many papers have been prepared by the Department of Treasury as part of these consultations:
(i) what are the names of these papers, and what date were they completed; and
(ii) will the Minister table these papers;
(c) has the Department of Treasury written to any stakeholders as part of this consultation process:
(i) if yes, who has been contacted; and
(ii) when was this contact made;
(d) has the Department of Treasury received any correspondence concerning the announced analysis of royalty rates:
(i) has the Department of Treasury received any correspondence regarding the decision in the Budget to book an additional $180 million in revenue for increased royalty income; and
(ii) if yes, who has sent this correspondence, and when was it received by the Department?
