I refer to the implementation of the $2 million for Family and Domestic Violence training for the readiness of criminalising coercive control, and I ask: (a) for Department of Justice, Western Australian Police Force, and Legal Aid WA, what is the schedule of release for funds across financial years 2025-26 and 2026-27; (b) what will happen to funds if unspent; (c) are there any mechanisms to ensure the funds are used exclusively for coercive control training; and (d) what is the total anticipated number of participants in each training group?

(a) The budget breakdown for financial years 2025-26 and 2026-27, and per Department/Organisation is detailed below:

It should also be noted that funding of $350,000 was paid to the WA Police Force in financial year 2024-25 which brings the total to $2 million.

(c) The funds aim to build broader understanding of family and domestic violence across the legal and justice sector, including the identification of and responses to coercive control. Funding agreements specify that funds must be used exclusively for the training activities outlined in the Legal and Justice Sector First Responder Training Initiative.
(d) The estimated number of participants in each training group:
