BUS SERVICE — NORTHAM–MUKINBUDIN — CLOSURE
977. Hon KEN TRAVERS to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the proposed closure of the Transwa bus service
from Northam to Mukinbudin on 30 December.
(1) How many
months does the contract with the private operator who delivers this service
for Transwa have to run?
(2) How old is the bus currently used to deliver this
service?
(3) What is
the estimated cost to cancel the contract with the private operator who
delivers this service once it is closed?
(4) Will any
compensation be paid for the capital cost of the bus currently used to deliver
this service?
