I refer to recommendation 13 of report 12, of the Standing Committee on Estimates and Financial Operations into the Balga Works Program, where it stated, ‘The Committee recommends that the Government provide assistance and support in the form of a debriefing and counselling to the people affected by the Balga Works Program and that in six months time the Government report back to the Legislative Council on its actions’, and ask -
(1) Have you instructed the Department of Education and Training to provide assistance and support in the form of a debriefing and counselling to the people affected by the Balga Works Program and that in six months time the Government report back to the Legislative Council on its actions?
(2) If yes to (1), will you table the report at the next day’s sitting as required given that six months have now passed?
(3) If no to (1), why not given that as a committee member you supported this recommendation and now as the Minister you have the power to implement it?
