I refer to your answer to question without notice No. 430 from 21 June 2011 in which you stated that cases coded as potential suicides from 1 January to 31 March 2011 are 56, and I ask -
(1) Where did you source the number of coded potential suicides from?
(2) Will you table evidence of the coded potential suicides?
(3) If no to (2), why not?
(4) In which regions are these potential suicides?
(5) How many suicides per region?

1) The Coroners Office via the National Coronial Information System (NCIS).
2) No.
3) Information contained in the National Coronial Information System contains personal information that could lead to the identification of individuals. As previously advised, a suicide is not a suicide until so determined by a Coroner.
4) The regions are broken down by coronial jurisdictional region and include; Albany, Broome, Bunbury, Carnarvon, Geraldton, Northam, Kalgoorlie, Kununurra, Sth Hedland and Perth.
5) Please see tabled papers [....]
