Main Roads—Streetlight outages
323. Hon Julie Freeman to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister
for Transport:
I refer to the
ongoing outage of streetlights along several of the state's major traffic
routes due to cable theft.
(1) On what date were the streetlight outages on
Tonkin Highway between Muchea and Ellenbrook first reported to Main Roads
Western Australia?
(2) On what date were the streetlight outages at
the Kwinana Freeway intersections between Pinjarra Road and Russell Road first
reported to Main Roads?
(3) For the locations referenced in (1) and (2),
when is it anticipated that the streetlights will be restored?
(4) What were the outcomes of the trials conducted
by Main Roads Western Australia to deter cable theft, including the use of
novel locking systems and adhesives?
