DANGEROUS SEX OFFENDERS — GPS TRACKING DEVICES
156. Mr M. McGOWAN to the
Minister for Corrective Services:
I will ask a supplementary question. Given Hon Terry Redman's
comments on 29 April 2012 that, ''It's possible that it could
increase the number of dangerous sex offenders that are released'', did
the government therefore not know that this was the likely outcome of allowing
dangerous sex offenders—serial sex offenders—access to this
technology?
