CRIMINAL PROPERTY
CONFISCATION ACT — REVIEW
1107. Hon AARON STONEHOUSE to the Leader of the House
representing the Attorney General:
I refer the Attorney General to the
announcement of a review of the Criminal Property Confiscation Act made in the
other place on Wednesday, 19 September 2018. I understand that the reviewer
requested an extension beyond the predicted reporting date in February 2019,
and that the request was granted. Although this is a weighty topic that
deserves serious deliberation, it has been more than a year since the original
announcement, and I therefore ask the Attorney General whether he is able to
indicate to the house when we can expect to sight the report, which I believe
is now in the hands of his department.
