(1) The Department of Justice advise Outcare provide information to the Department of Justice based on an agreed set of performance measures in relation to transitional support services to prisoners re-entering the community under the Community Re-entry Coordination Project. Performance measures relate to: · Service availability; · Service provider workload; · Consumers of the service; · Referrals into the community; · Service provision; and · Exit information. (2) The Department of Justice advise there is structured reporting on a quarterly basis on the number of clients services, services provided and outcomes. The first report is due at the end of July 2004. Requirements of the Service Agreement also include meetings with the Manager, Service Agreements on a quarterly basis a week after submission of the quarterly reports. The manager, service agreements liaises with management within the Department of Justice to ensure that the program is running effectively. There is a management committee being implemented, which will make decisions and review reports. (3) The Department of Justice advise Outcare reports are available on request. However, the Community Re-entry Coordination Project has only recently commenced and reports are not yet available. (4) The Department of Justice advise complaints would be made directly to Outcare or the manager of the service agreement.
