In reference to a West Australian article dated 26.07.16, Water Corporation is exploring options to expand the existing seawater desalination plants at Kwinana (Perth Seawater Desalination Plant) and Binningup (Southern Seawater Desalination Plant). Estimated cost and volumes are indicative and subject to detailed engineering and approvals, but options could provide volumes between 20-40 billion litres at costs in the order of $250m - $550m.
