Regarding the State Government’s announcement in June 2025 about planning for a future interchange at Whitfords Avenue–Wanneroo Road-Gnangara Road, I ask: (a) how much funding has been allocated for this planning phase; (b) when will the planning phase commence; (c) apart from Main Roads WA, will any other third parties be involved in the planning phase; (d) when is the planning phase expected to be completed; (e) does the land-reservation corridor for the realignment project still exist; (f) if yes to (e), does the entire corridor remain available, or will some land acquisition be required; (g) were traffic modelling and an assessment for this road alignment undertaken in 2016; and (h) has Main Roads WA previously prepared a design concept for this project, noting that this road realignment has been discussed since the 1990 Metroplan?
