ROSALIE PARK — TEMPORARY CAR PARK
I refer to class A reserve, Rosalie Park, City of Subiaco, and the proposal to use a portion of the park for temporary parking to support development on the QEII Medical Centre site. (1) Is the Premier aware that the acting manager for metropolitan state lands in the Department of Regional Development and Lands advised the Subiaco Junior Football Club in writing on 30 August that the Minister for Lands will not support any proposal to amend a class A reserve without the consent of the relevant local government? (2) Is the Premier aware that a motion was passed at a special council meeting on 31 August, which I attended, that the City of Subiaco reject the state government’s proposal to use a portion of Rosalie Park to support development on the QEII Medical Centre site? (3) Is the Premier aware that the Minister for Health announced on radio 6PR on 1 September that, following the City of Subiaco’s unanimous decision, Rosalie Park is now off the agenda? (4) Can the Premier confirm that on 26 August he said on radio that Rosalie Park will be used as a temporary car park while the QEII Medical Centre site is being developed? (5) Can the Premier now clarify who is correct, the Minister for Lands and the Minister for Health or the Premier? Hon NORMAN MOORE
