I have a supplementary question. The second part of my question asked whether the Government would develop a framework to encourage private enterprise to develop commercial desalination plants in regional Western Australia. Private enterprise needs a framework to be able to do it. Dr G.I. GALLOP

In relation to private enterprise providing the water supply in Western Australia, the procurement of power in Western Australia, which is currently out for bidding, is one area in the State that will be provided by private providers. Of course we will consider alternative ways of supplying water to regional Western Australia that people come up with, provided they are effective from the State’s point of view.
