(1) A 6-car C-series train weighs 252.0 tonnes whilst a 6-car B-series train (comprised of two three-car sets) weighs 252.2 tonnes.
(2) A 6-car C-series train’s normal payload capacity is 1,290 passengers with an exceptional payload capacity of 1606 passengers.
A 6-car B-series train’s normal payload capacity ranges from 1,098 to 1,150 passengers with an exceptional capacity range of 1,382 to 1,484 passengers – noting there are multiple seating configurations for B-Series trains.
(3) Yes.
(4) 64 complaints relating to noise or vibration have been received across various locations of the PTA network. The issue was resolved in April 2025, after which time only two further complaints were received.
