I thank the honourable member for some notice of this question. (1) On 17 October 2010, Transperth introduced wide-scale improvements to the public transport network in Ellenbrook, providing new high-frequency bus services linking Ellenbrook and the Bassendean train station. The new services—known as routes 955 and 956—provide a bus service every 10 minutes in peak periods, and every 15 minutes interpeak on weekdays, allowing for onward travel to Midland via the Midland train line. These new bus services are also provided on an hourly basis on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, consistent with most other bus routes across the Perth metropolitan area. (2) Transperth has no immediate plans to provide a direct or weekend bus service between Ellenbrook and Midland, given the recent upgrade to the Ellenbrook–Bassendean station bus services. Hon Ken Travers : Where’s your railway line? Hon SIMON O’BRIEN : Where is yours?
(2) If no to (1), why not? Hon SIMON O’BRIEN replied: I thank the honourable member for some notice of this question.
