I refer to the Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety 2024-25 Budget Paper No 2 Volume 1, page 246 and the Co-Funded Drilling program under the Exploration Incentive Scheme, and I ask: (a) who were the recipients of this funding in the following years: (i) 2023-24; (ii) 2022-23; and (iii) 2021-22; (b) how much was provided to each recipient; and (c) by region, where was each recipient proposing drilling?

a)       (i) – (iii) [See tabled paper] for the applicants that were awarded co-funding in the financial years 2021–22, 2022–23, and 2023–24.
b)      [See tabled paper – ‘Funding Offer’ column] for the maximum co-funding amount offered to each applicant, and
c)       [See tabled paper – ‘Region’ column] for the State Development Region that each proposed project was located in.
Applicants marked in grey were those who withdrew from the program and did not claim any of their awarded funding. Withdrawal from funding is a decision that the applicant makes or occurs if they fail to drill within the 12-month funding agreement period.
Map 1 shows the distribution of the applicants across the State. State Development Regions are outlined and labelled in grey. Projects listed as ‘drilled’ on the map have been completed. Projects listed as ‘active’ are still within the Agreement period for project completion and have not withdrawn.
