(a)   There are multiple agencies responsible for the water drainage system in the south west and they include Water Corporation and the various local government authorities.
(b)   Water Corporation’s South-West rural drainage network incorporates 1,296 km of drains. Maintenance schedules are not determined by the number of kilometres each year but on a range of risk assessment and management efficiency factors. In addition, there will be maintenance programs in place managed by the local authorities for their own drainage network.
(c)   Landowners should contact the owner of the drain to determine any requirements involved with access to their properties over a drain.
