I refer to the Kimberley Floods Recovery, and I ask: (a) in regards to the Freight Assistance Program, please identify: (i) the total value of this program; (ii) the total funding provided to date; and (iii) how many businesses have accessed the Freight Assistance Program; and (b) in regards to the Measures for Primary Producers please identify: (i) the number of applications received to date; (ii) the number of applications approved to date; (iii) the total funding dispersed to date; and (iv) please confirm the expiry date of this grants program?

The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) advises that as of the 3 November 2023:
(a) (i) The total value of funding allocated for the Freight Assistance Program is $42,000,000.00.
(ii) $4,933,806.76
(iii) 79 businesses
(b) There are two Measures for Primary Producers in response to the Kimberley Floods Recovery.  DPIRD administers these two on behalf of DFES.  The first is Category B Primary Producers Grants for restoration of fencing, freight, and professional advice. The second is Category D Primary Producer Recovery Grants, under which up to $75,000 is available for those primary producers impacted by either (or both) Ex TC Ellie (Kimberley region) and TC Ilsa (Pilbara region).
The Primary Producers Grant Category B assistance measure is demand driven. This funding assistance measure is not capped.

The Category D Primary Producer Recovery Grant provides grants up to $75,000 for eligible measures relating to Ex TC Ellie and Ex-TC Ilsa. The total value of funding allocated for Ex TC Ellie and Ex TC Ilsa is $2,568,000.  The data below relates only to those applicants impacted as a result of Ex TC Ellie (Kimberley region).
