I refer to the Information Commissioner Regulations 2025 , and I ask: (a) what was the catalyst for bringing about these regulations; (b) who was consulted prior to these regulations being finalised; (c) in reference to (b), did any person consulted raise any concerns; (d) if yes to (c), what were these concerns; (e) in reference to (d), have the finalised regulations addressed these concerns; and (f) if no to (e), why not?

(a) The regulations address transitional matters following the commencement of the Information Commissioner Act 2024 (WA) on 1 July 2025.
(b) The Departments of Justice, the Premier and Cabinet and Treasury, and the former Information Commissioner.
(c) The Department of Treasury and the former Information Commissioner raised drafting queries, however, no concerns were raised.
(d) – (f) N/A
