(1) Has the Government finalised a Waste Management Plan for Perth?
(2) If so, will the Minister table a copy of the Perth Metropolitan Waste Management Plan?
(3) If not, then when is it anticipated that the Government will actually establish a Waste Management Plan for metropolitan Perth?

The Minister Replied:
(1) In September 1999, I initiated WAste 2020, a process to deliver a strategic action plan for Western Australia's Waste Management. In August of this year I released for public comment, a draft Strategic Plan. The Plan relates to the whole State not just the Perth Metropolitan area.
(2) See tabled paper.
(3) The high level Task Force which prepared the draft is to consider public comments and develop detailed action plans, in consultation with key stakeholders, including local government and the community, for presentation to me before the end of the year.
