WHEATSTONE LNG PROJECT —STATE AGREEMENT —
PREMIER'S COMMENTS
614. Mr M. McGOWAN to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question. I
repeat: is it not a serious allegation that the Premier has been captured by a resource
company; and, therefore, has the Premier sought that the Minister for Regional Development
withdraw that comment and apologise?

AnswerView source ↗

Only someone as wishy-washy as the
Leader of the Opposition would try to make an issue of this. In fact, the
reason I reacted before was that the Leader of the Opposition made the
accusation in this Parliament.
Mr
M. McGowan : No, I didn't.
Mr
C.J. BARNETT : Yes, he did. He leant across and made the accusation. Members
opposite can laugh and giggle, but I will discuss this matter with Chevron —
Several members interjected.
The
SPEAKER : Do you have anything to add, Premier? Nothing further.
