(1) As at 1 July in each of the years 2012, 2013 and 2014, and for each school dental therapy centre located in the South West Region, what was the staff allocation, by headcount and FTE for: (a) dentists; (b) dental therapists; (c) dental assistants; (d) dental nurses; and (e) other? (2) In relation to (1), and for each year specified and for each school dental therapy centre, what was the average wait time for an appointment? (3) Are there any positions currently vacant and, if yes, which positions and how long have the positions been vacant?

The following answer is based on areas which fall within the South West Health Region.
(1)(a-c) [See tabled paper no]
(d) Dental Nurses are not employed in Dental Therapy Centres.
(e) Other staff are not employed in Dental Therapy Centres.
(2) Students are generally provided with an initial course of care during the first year of enrolment in the School Dental Service. All school children are eligible for the School Dental Service from the year they turn five until the end of Year 11 or the attainment of 17 years of age, whichever comes first. Students are then placed on a recall waiting list to undergo a periodic examination which is dependent upon their clinical needs. Emergency dental care is provided immediately as required.
(3) As at 7 May 2015, there are no positions currently vacant.
