On behalf of the responsible parliamentary secretary, I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question and advise that the minister has provided an answer in the following terms. (1) Yes. (2) (a) Two years. (b) Mr Dowding has been appointed in accordance with section 6(2)(d) of the Rottnest Island Authority Act 1987, which allows for “one member . . . who in the opinion of the Minister is a regular user of the Island for recreational purposes.”
