On behalf of the minister representing the Minister for Goldfields-Esperance and Great Southern, I thank Hon Nigel Hallett for providing some notice of the question. (1) The government allocated the City of Albany $10 000 towards the detailed concept design and business plan at the York Street location, the former city administrative building site. The source of funding was the regional development scheme administered by the Great Southern Development Commission. (2) Additional to the $10 000 from the RDS, the government has committed $14.9 million through the Great Southern Development Commission’s capital works program. This was through a memorandum of agreement made between the state government and the City of Albany for the waterfront development, which included the $14.9 million contribution towards the Albany entertainment centre at the new waterfront location. The expected draw downs are $1.475 million, $12.835 million, $250 000 and $340 000 for 2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2009-10 respectively. (3) The expected date of completion is December 2009.
