In relation to the Government's answers to parliamentary questions indicating that the cost of the waterfront project is $440 million:
(a) when was the figure of $440 million first tabulated;
(b) in 2009, when the figure of $440 million was used, can the Minister confirm that associated road-works costing $105 million (including freeway widening directly as a result of the closure of Riverside Drive) had not been factored in;
(c) if $440 million was a costing in 2009 terms, would a cost escalation and Consumer Price Indexing at 5 per cent add at least $88 million onto an accurate 2012–2013 costing; and
(d) what is the most recent and accurate costing that has been provided to, or prepared by, the Government?

(a) In releasing the current master plan, the Western Australian State Government committed to delivering Elizabeth Quay through providing $440 million of funding in the 2011/12 Western Australian Budget. The State Government will recoup a portion of these costs through land sales.
(b) The road works cited by the member are not part of the Elizabeth Quay project. The Department of Transport is undertaking the widening of the freeway.
(c) and (d) The most recent costings were included as part of the 2012/13 Western Australian Budget.
