My question without notice, of which notice was given at 10.30 am today, is to the Minister for Police. I refer to the two laser assaults upon Mr Spratt — Government members interjected. Mr J.R. QUIGLEY : What mirth from government members over Mr Spratt’s condition! I notice only government members are laughing at Mr Spratt’s predicament. I refer to the two Taser assaults upon Mr Spratt on 31 August 2008 and the second on 6 September 2008. (1) On each of these days was Mr Spratt taken through any areas of the Perth police lockup, including the unloading dock, that were under closed-circuit television surveillance? (2) If yes to (1), have the images been preserved or have they been erased? (3) The Attorney General stated that when the correctional services officers arrived, they observed the police to have Mr Spratt under CCTV surveillance in the padded cell. Have these images been preserved or have they been erased? (4) Were the incidents involving Mr Spratt and Sergeant Bell, as described by the Attorney General yesterday, in areas of the Perth police lockup under CCTV surveillance? (5) If yes to (4), have these images been preserved or have they been erased? Mr R.F. JOHNSON
