LIBRARIES - BOOK CLUBS
What action, if any, does the minister intend to take to expedite arrangements to facilitate the operation of book clubs within the WA library system, as was recommended in an e-mail sent to the minister by Ms Shona Guilfoyle? Hon ADELE FARINA

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this question. Book clubs are already able to order multiple copies of books through their local libraries, with notice, at no charge to the readers. Under the framework agreement, the State Library of Western Australia provides the resources to purchase items for public libraries throughout the state, with the public libraries servicing the local community.
