On behalf of the Minister for Police, I thank the honourable
member for some notice of the question.
In the years 2012 to 2014 inclusive, a full-time level 6
employee was working on substantive equality. This position has been vacant
since October 2014 when the incumbent retired. These duties were performed by
another officer during the service delivery resource model reform process. As
this process has now been completed, WA Police will shortly move to fill the
position.
Point of Order
Hon ALANNA CLOHESY :
On a point of order, I think that answer was an answer to a different question
that I have not yet asked. I think that answer was to question C059. The
question I asked was C058.
The PRESIDENT : Perhaps the Attorney General
can check that that is the right answer to the question.
Hon MICHAEL MISCHIN : That is the answer to C 058; yes.
Question C059 is a wholly different question, but that answer was to question
C058.
Hon ALANNA CLOHESY : I think the answers have been mixed
in the middle.
Hon MICHAEL MISCHIN : It may be that the two answers overlap in
some fashion because the two questions overlap. The member will see that
when she gets the hard copy.
The PRESIDENT : It would not be the first
time that an answer provided in a house of Parliament has mystified the
questioner; but never mind.
