VERVE ENERGY — PROJECTED LOSS
I refer the minister to his answer yesterday, that the projected loss in 2007-08 for Verve Energy is approximately $50 million. (1) Is the minister aware that the loss for the first half of the year was $40 million and that the board has advised that the situation is likely to be significantly worse in the second half of the year? (2) Why, therefore, has the minister misled Parliament about the true financial situation of Verve Energy? (3) What is the actual projected loss of Verve in 2007-08? Mr F.M. LOGAN

BUSWELL : I withdraw that comment Questions without Notice Resumed Mr F.M.
