The parliamentary secretary has indicated that she has some difficulty with one part of this question. However, I will ask the question and will be happy to receive later the answer to that part that is problematic. I refer to the impact of the potential closure of the Country Women’s Association House and the accommodation of patient assisted travel scheme patients from regional Western Australia. (1) Will the minister outline the role that CWA House has played in accommodating PATS patients receiving treatment from major hospitals in Perth and parents of Princess Margaret Hospital patients, especially from regional WA? (2) What assistance is the WA government currently providing PATS patients when they need to come to Perth for treatment? (3) Will the minister explain what options are available for PATS patients if CWA House accommodation is not available? (4) Will the minister consider providing further assistance to CWA House to enable it to stay open? (5) Will the minister consider providing an across-the-board increase to the accommodation subsidy PATS patients receive? Hon SUE ELLERY
